'Maximize Your Potential'
This has been the mission for Dr. John Armitage Rusca and Aesthetic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, PC for the many years that Dr. Rusca has practiced Plastic Surgery. Before his practice was confined to Aesthetic Surgery, Dr. Rusca was known as one who believed firmly in the use of aesthetic techniques applied to reconstructive surgery cases, minimizing and hiding scars so that the surgeon's presence would be unknown. His early reconstructive efforts were applauded for the naturalness of the results and for the lack of deformity in other areas of the body when tissue was moved to correct defects or repair injury.
Now that his practice is confined to Aesthetic Surgery, it is that same natural looking outcome that distinguishes the results of his surgery. There are no “cookie-cutter” techniques applied to all cases. You will not be able to look at a nose and state that it is the result of a rhinoplasty, nor will you be able to state that it is “a Dr. Rusca” nose. Faces are not wind-swept, overly tight and distorted, or “plastic” looking following a facelift. Dr. Rusca is particularly careful not to “overdo” cosmetic surgery as it is his philosophy that most patients want to look natural, but better. Breasts that are made too large, pecs that stretch the imagination, and artificially contrived noses that do not fit the face are sure signs of poor aesthetic judgment and will not be found in Dr. Rusca’s case results.
